Review: Davidoff Regency Exclusive Edition

Davidoff Regency Exclusive Edition

Today I will be reviewing the Davidoff Regency Exclusive Edition.  It is a 6 x 52 belicoso featuring a Connecticut seed Edcuadorian Rojiza wrapper, with Dominican binder and fillers. The cigar was blended in collaboration with Davidoff for the celebration of Regency Cigar Emporium’s 20th Anniversary.  Only 300 boxes of 10 were produced.

The cigar starts off with cedar and pepper up front.  Through the spice, a light sweetness appears.  There is a copious amount of smoke and a nice pull to the draw.  Coming to the end of the first third the cigar is super smooth with a warm mouthfeel.

A cashew like sweetness comes forth into the second third, there is still pepper present.  The burn is slightly crooked, but does not seem to have an effect on flavor.  The Regency Exclusive is considerably smooth for how much spice is present.  Notes of toasted graham cracker and honey are shining through. Strengthwise, Medium-full bodied.

The spice returns in the final third. An oaky taste devolops in the retrohale.  The smoke feels warm and thick.  There is a lot of complexity at this point, very enjoyable. All the flavors are in harmony, a really exceptional balance between sweet and spicy.

Davidoff Regency Exclusive

This is a truly exceptional cigar with a lot of flavor.  I can’t place the blend in any other Davidoff line, it is unique.  It is exclusively available at Regency Cigar Emporium and at
